Time runs out- poetry

Bottle up my memories

let them keep me company

let them not fester in the darkness or wallow in the light.

The end of time captures all when the time is right.

But let us not remember all the fights and restless nights

were our feuds were with mannequins

our fights with imaginary men

let my mind be clear

and my heart sealed tight

for the end of time is coming

the apocalypse starts tonight

shadows in my mind fester

my light is shelved away

in a seamless end of straining its bounds

desperate to get away

i know not what i’m fighting

or for what matter want to know

but time is running from it

I think it’s humanities time to go.
